We used natural stain and sprayed numerous times using Spar Urethan which is used for exterior projects to help protect from outside elements. This feeder features a unique inverted bottle design that slowly dispenses black oil sunflower seeds onto the feeding tray below. Bottle included! The protective roof helps keep seed dry while inviting birds to gather and feed comfortably.
